My new project that I finished last week. I am waiting on some better lighting to come in next week. The top tank is going to be for softys and the bottom one is my refuge and a home for a seahorse.

Pretty neat idea. Are all the tanks plumbed together?

Yes a mag 7 Is in a 30 gal tank (sump) under my 125 gal it is pumping water to the top 20 gal and it gravity feeds water to the bottom 20 gal (refuge) and then gravity feeds back to the sump. The idea just came to me on what I wanted to do with it. Normaly I make up a drawing with dimensions and the start to build it, but with this project I just took the tanks into the back yard and started working on it. No real planing on how I wanted it done. I like the end results though.

Have you turned your pumps off to check for a flood? I have a 29 gallon sump on my 100 and I can only keep it half full, I would imagine that yours would be nearly empty.

Good point... the refuge looks aweful full!

Yes that was one main concern with adding two more tanks to this system and everything seams to have worked out fine. As you can tell in the pics with the power on and off. The water leves are not shown in the picture with the pumps on, because the sump has 3 levels water flows in on the left and falls about 4” in the middle (pictured) and then falls a fraction of an inch to the right where most of the pumps are at.

Yeah my refuge was less than a 10 gal tank size and I thinned it out at your party and now it is a 20 gal tank so it looks bare.
