Well after a year of everyone saying "Get a refugium going" Our Son N Law brought the plans and helped put together an all in one sump-refus w/a 50 some gal today. Now tomarrow we do the plumbing. I am so damned excited about it! "LET THE NITRATES DROP & THE ACROS RISE"!

I hear you. I wish I had the space to add one. I have tried putting some chaeto in the sump with a light over it but it slowly dies away. What kind of light are you using? When you get it together I hope to see some pics!

Thanks all. Well it is 2:30 am and we have finished cutting, chopping, sawing, and just plain disassembling the stand, to make this big ole refugium fit in. Oh man she is sweet! Will post pics later today.
Have a great Easter everyone!

I would also like to know how many beers this project took... the true measure :) It took a whole six-pack to get the rollbars in my convertible.

Well I don't think Billy would tell the true amount, but I know a "few" 6 packs were involved. Billy was our source of entertainment. I quickly took over the cutting after seeing his. Not sure which was wavier, his cut or his hair from the electricity. He got zapped twice with the grounding rod before he realized maybe he should unplug it. Then dropped a fan into the tank, plugged in. Good thing corals like a jolt here and there, but the fish were pissed off needless to say. The humor continued on as the pipes released their water caps "On Him", looked like a fire hydrant gone nuts.
Well I am pleased to say that it is completed and in the stand. Kevin did a most excellent job on setting us up. My hats off to him.
