Although they look like guest there is something strange with it. The I.P. address are very close and they are from the same domain. Tonight's was from Albuquerque, NM. I am guessing they are using a proxy server or something to make the I.P. address shadow like that. Even though they look as if there are 8 guest on it is all the same guy.

With all of the PhpBB exploits I try to keep an eye on our guest to make sure it is not our friendly hacker making his return visit.

Well one just traced back to Microsoft of all places, definitely someone covering there tracks. They also have hopped to about every forum there is tonight. It also says they are posting which is not possible with a guest login. If the forum goes down I do have a backup thank god.

Call me "Mr Paranoia" I checked our website raw access logs and checked the browser the person was using.

It came back gigabot/2.0 which is a search engine. The reason there are so many anonymous users on is that the search engines are finding us and caching the forum. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry in these matters so let them have at it, crawl the site all you want.

When they have all the same I.P. range, it is a safe guess to say "yes".
