And they put the same engine in the Thunderbird TC (or Thunder Chicken). Long live V-8 power (as long as gas prices don't get too high :P )

The best turbo car IMO was my first ride, the Buick Grand National. Wish I never sold it!!!!!! BAD ASS ride!! Sold it for a thunder chicken super coup. I do like a super charger because the powerband is always there, no waiting for the boost to build. I almost put a blower on my V-10 superduty when I owned my shops, but MY $3,800 cost for the polished unit was still a bit too much. Anyway, back to the GN, I have a book that says between 86-87(I think, been along time) the DEA had around 500 of the GN that were twin turbos. Have any of you heard of this before??? I have built ALOT of hot rides, but I would love to see what one of those would do. Not the fastest thing I have been in, but the single turbo I had (with mods) would still pin you to the seat. All throttle no bottle, that's the way a real man does it!

I have a friend that still has a GN. He loves is and says he will never sell it. I have never been a big fan of turbo's although the twin turbo Eclipse was pretty fast but not near as fast as the new Corvette. I have driven a couple of trucks that had Whipple super chargers and one that had a Paxton on 350 c.i. V-8's and they were ok but the Whipple has low boost to work with stock engines.

speaking of fast ass turbo cars i had my doors blown off by a S13 240 last night. i drove up next to it and heard it spool up a little then a little blow off valve so i wanted to see how fast it was so i got on it and he was gone. There is nothing better than a car boosted to hell and back.

I love the pictures of the people hanging out of the Suburu, very corny. Of course that car is ugly as hell.

Totally agree with you about the Whipple. We put one on a 01 Expedition and I was not impressed at all! It was a bit faster, but for that kind of money I would have done something else.
