My tank has turned (GREEN)

Hello everone, hope everone is doing good, been real tied up lately trying to take care of my mother. I have kinda neglected my tank for the last month or so, but last Tuesday when I came in from work it was GREEN. I cant even see the back of the tank its that GREEN. Any Ideas?????????

Never heard of that in a salt-water tank.

Do you have green algae or green water?

Yeah are you sure it is not just on the front glass ? If it is in the water it may be WAY too much light in that tank, or very close to a window.

algae bloom.... excess nutrients... phosphates in the tank probably. Water change.... diatom filter for 8 hours......and a refugium with macro algaes would probably fix, then solve your problem. If you cannot set up a refugium be frugal with feeding and do regular water changes and that shold solve the problem.
