The directions I got with my Kalkwasser are cryptic, at best. What's the best way to administer it ( I don't have a drip) When do you know you've put enough in there?

I think that most of the time it is used as a drip or in auto top off system water. Mix with water, let stand for a while with container sealed and then use all but the sediment.

How often is it done? Is there some target level I'm trying to achieve? I can't just keep dumping this stuff in my tank forever. I'm watching my pH... which is fine. But that's all I could get from the evil instructions.
Help!

Some people drip it all the time to top off the tank. Others drip it at night to help stabilize the PH fluctuation. If you have a calcium reactor I suggest dripping it all the time. I did it for years and it could never keep up with my calcium demand alone. I used to use Bionic to make up the difference. You have to start off with a calcium level of 400-480 and an alk of 8-12 dKh. Test it every day in the beginning and then once a week for a while until you establish the calcium demand for your system. You have to keep testing though because of changes in the calcium demand.
