After 6 years my headliner in my Eclipse is starting to fall from the front side where is used to get direct sun. Has anyone ever replaced one of these and how hard is it ?

Its not a big deal if the foam backing hasn't detiorated. You just get a shop to cut it for you and use 3m spray adhesive to attach it. I don't know anything about Eclipses, but on the XJ6 the biggest deal is removing the fiberglass shell that it attaches to.

I'd call around a get a price on a shop doing it. I think you'll find it pretty reasonable to let someone else do it.

Yeah the foam is flaking off under it. I want to say places like J.C Whitney has them but not sure if they come with the foam, that is the problem. I really do not trust anyone in town to replace a headliner and do a good job. I am really funny about anyone touching my car, so i do alot of things myself. I would use a reputable person and pay them if i knew of someone that did good work.

Billy and I had someone do ours years ago, and did a great job, when he gets home tonight I'll have him post who it was.

I think I'd let someone do it... Should only be around $200.

At that time you bought the board/ foam and chose your color. It may have changed by now but for sure worth the call to get details on how they do it now.
My father has someone in mobile that does all his reupholstering ect. on his antique cars. I will find out who that is tomarrow and get back to you.

He used to have John at Pauls Radio in Mobile do all his work. But unfortionately he just died a few months back. He also has had work done at Wrights Shop in Saraland, and was pleased.
