Well I'm not and I have nothing to keep my tank running should I lose power. Oh well, I can just picture losing all my zoanthids and acros.

Not being rude, but there's several threads in the off topic area, you'll get more discussion and responses over there

I don't either. I am going get a couple of battery powered air pumps tomorrow but I have a bad feeling that I am screwed. Most of it can be replaced but I have an Echinophyllia and a couple of Steve Tyree LE's that I will never be able to afford again.
Good luck to you.

Why not move these items to another tank? Someone in the group should have a generator or something. I'd offer you my tank, but I only have about 36 hours worth of batteries for my backup system.

With work today and preparing after work this evening I don't think I will have any extra time to drive to Pascagoula. Terry is the only one I know that has a generator. We have decided to leave our house and stay with relatives due to the intensity and our close proximity to Mobile Bay. I am trying to rig something up today at work though.

I will probably buy a generator with income tax money, should had listened to Terry but money has been super tight around this house.

In our case, something like a generator wouldn't do any good, because if it's THAT bad, you're not gonna be in the house anyway. If that thing comes right up Mobile bay like it's forecasted, we're getting the hell out, my parent's have an underground bunker 45 minutes from here.

I picked up a 175W inverter at Walmart this morning. I had to go to 2 location and that was the only one they had! I got my front windows boarded up now, but don't have the time or the wood for the back. I figure I can keep the fish alive as long as we're OK too.
Good luck guys!

Sorry for making the new post, i typically dont' read that other one too often. I took my tank down. I have the smallest leak in the overflow at the bottom and i found out that my sump rose about 1 inch every 3 hours so i took it down. I left town and went to Panama City. Hopefully my fish will make it. If we happen to get power back before everyone else I'll take stuff. Workign with The FWS I should be able to get back into town. I've got a pass to get down to Ft. Morgan as soon as this storm passes so I should have to be able to get to the office but who knows.

thanks to all who called and offered help. I lost 3/4 of my livestock and moved what i saved to a tank at Jenn's house. She got power back the day we got into town. I will not have power at my house for some time even if our street gets in back. I had to turn it off at the main breaker becaues the tree that came into my house destroyed the wall where the wires come into the house from the breaker outside. I have a large hole in my house right now, part of my wall is gone and part of the roof is gone do to a large oak tree. I'm in the hunt for a contractor now. Its damn near impossible getting in touch with anyone. I've called so many people from the phone book and most numbers are out of service, buys or just no one answers.
I plan on sell my 55 gal tub and look to upgrade sometime after the new year. I have a lot of work to do around the house before i can consider setting up another tank.
