Deanna's new car
We don't have final approval on the financing (long story), but I feel comfortable we got the car since it's been three days since we left the dealership with it. Banks are slow! The car is a 2005 Scion TC.

We didn't get it for performance, we got it for $$ vs. features... you can't get a car as feature-packed, for the $$. Invoice was $16.5k, and it only comes one way, loaded... there's no "options", other than dealer add-ons, like bigger wheels, XM radio, spoiler, etc... it comes with power windows/locks/sunroof (another pane is glass for rear passengers too), reclining rear seats, etc... it's actually a hatchback. The interior is ROOMY, has same wheelbase as a late model Taurus, but is 4 foot shorter due to wheels being out at the corners.
performance is damn good for what you pay for, it's got a tuned-up version of the Camry 2.4L DOHC engine, 160hp/163ft-lb torque. The engine bay is devilishly simplely laid out, the vacumn diagram under the hood shows ONE vacumn tube, that runs the fuel tank evap system, otherwise, it's devoid of visible wiring/tubing, pretty neat.
