Anyone have an extra, a hook up for or can find a 17" CRT monitor for me?

Neww Egg routinly has one model for like $100 shipped so I don't want to go all out. But if any of you are looking to unload one let me know.

thanks

I don't know about a 17", but you can get a 21" for $143 shipped.

Brandon says he buys some used ones at a computer store in Atmore. He said they have good prices on them.

Hell get a 19 inch man, why go 17 unless you just do not have the desk space. You can get a short neck 19 inch that takes up the same amount of space.

Desk space isn't a problem. Hell my monitor is on it's own table as it is..

Thanks for the link Andy. I'm not so sure about refurbished stuff, but... price is nice.

thanks for all the replies, maybe I can poke around tommorrow and se what happens on it.

The 21" monitor that I have I bought it about 5 or6 years ago and it was refurbished. I have not had any problems with it. I also have a refurbished Printer/Copy/Scanner that I bought at the same time and have had no problems with it. From my past experiences with refurbished computer parts have been great. Say you bought something brand new and something was wrong with it when you got it. And you had to send it to the company to be fixed. Well they probably don’t fix it right a way they put it a side to be fixed later and send you one that they have already fixed and tested it out. Anyways this was the case with my Printer/Copy/Scanner. From my past experiences with refurbished computer parts have been great.

I will say one negative thing about refurbished computer monitors and that is smoke. Depending on where you get them from sometimes you get one that is yellowed from nicotine, as gross as it sounds. When we were ordering refurbs at work you would get an occasional that came from a smokers house and the stain would never come out, no matter how hard you scrubbed. There argument is that asthetics are not a concern and you ordered a refurb and mechanically, electrically it works. So beware it can happen.
