Who has a refractometer that can test my water (and is somewhat close to me)? I have been using a hydrometer and am starting to question if it is correct.

Thanks,
Scott

Dr. Fosters has a special for refractometers right now, 34.99 for all Reefcentral members!

Scott , You old sea dog... I thought you were up to just dipping your finger in and giving it a taste.... you trying to calibrate your taste buds again :)

Naw, I was using a straw to suck some up but I kept getting Xenia in my mouth and that threw off the calibration.

I GOT MINE FROM EBAY. WORKS GREAT AND THE COST WAS 1/2 OR LESS THAT OTHERS THAT I HAD BEEN LOOKING AT. MINE IS PORTABLE REFRACTOMETER (RHS-10ATC)

Just thought that I would add in my 2Cents for ya. I have only been into my reef tank experience for a bit over a year

I got mine from Drs Foster and Smith last Thursday. I couldn't believe how far off my hydrometer is.

Hey Scott does that mean mine was accurate ? I would honestly like us to get together and see how close our refractometers are.
