When it rains!

Man when it rains it pours. Recently I spotted a bristleworm while taking night shots. Concerned about this becoming a problem, I rushed right out and purchased an arrow crab. Assured that they are reef safe and friendly to inverts and fish! So I cheerfully put him into our tank to start his work. Immediately upon placing him in, he starts plucking at our new star polups :? Ok so maybe he just found something in there, no worry. Well a few days later I awake to see my favorite fish floating, with no apparent reason. Now if this isn't bad enough, later that day, I look in the tank only to discover  it is killing one of my emerald crabs. So I get on the net and research these villains and discover that some have a tendancy to enjoy reaking havoc on small guys by stabbing them. I learned my lesson on that one. Ok it Really needs to stop raining now.

What is really going to piss you off is bristle worms are not really a problem....

It's a safe bet to say, the arrow crab was more problem then the worm.

bristle worms are good for your tank, they eat dead or decaying matter
