It's a tube anemone out of the gulf.

Thanks Snoop. Both of those anemones in that picture where caught at the same location the same dive. Both are tube type but different varities. I bought some diving digging tool so I should be able to get tube anemones easier the next time I go. I had tp dig down about a foot to get them before. It's really hard to dig sand underwater with your hand.

The small ones stay out most of the time. The big one comes out around 6-7:00pm and go back in its tube around 9:00am.

Do they only come out when the lights are out?

it comes out about 4 hours before they go off, sometime it will stay out all day but usually just in the evening around 6:00 and all night until around 10 in the morning.
