Just wondering what some people use to paint the backs of their tanks

Rustoleum works great. It's good on sticking to a smooth surface like glass. You can get it in a spray can at Wal-Mart.

yeah, nothing special, you can do the "krylon touch", just mask off the rest of the tank and spray away!

I used a quart container of Rustoleum Enamel black here. I turned the tank on it's side and brushed it on. This was you can get it real thick and no overspray to contend with.

I actually cut a piece of cardboard to fit the back of my small tank and painted it black. I tucked it in the trim at the top and bottom and needed no tape. Looks just like the backs painted but it can be removed if I ever change my mind.

I've heard of using vaseline to get window trim to stick to the back of the tank.. no personal experience here, I usually just tape a piece of the aquarium backing stuff to the back of smaller tanks if it's already got something in it.
