Is this "normal"? I haven't fed him for several weeks, is he just looking for food?? His tentacles usually just barely show above the rocks, but now he's reaching up, up and away!

P.S. He doesn't look that large, but sandbed-to-top is about 20" or little more, he's pretty laaarge, and notice how close he's reaching up to the top of the water column!

That does not look like a condalactis(sp) anemone at all. It looks more like a LTA, but that is just from viewing the pics.

It is normal for anemones to reach like that. They are reaching for flow and light. My anemones' foot is approximately 6-8 inches way behind a large slab of rock. When the lights are on, they will reach toward an area of good flow and lighting. When the lights turn off, then retract back into its' "safehaven."

Welp, it's definitely not food.... the anemone just swallowed two garden shrimp, and is still just as "out". Weird!

My condi has never done that and I rarely if ever directly feed it. Was it in a shaded part of the tank and it's reaching for more light. One of ours is not a condi, mine had a pink foot.

Well it's not just a fluke, my conde is getting HUGE! Here's another picture... this is two days later than the first couple.

I also think it looks like a LTA. My LTA does this everyday. As stated above they are looking for water flow, light , food. Good shots and I would not be alarmed.
