Need any suggestions, just recently there was the emergance of micro-bubbles in my tank. Sucks!!!!!!!
Approximately 2 moths ago, the microbubbles appeared, seems to be coming from the return line somewhere. Then a week later it disappeared. Now it has come back. I do not know what is going on. I am hoping that I do not have to re-plumb the return line.
Or maybe something is going on with my return pump. I dont know. I dont know where the pinhole is that is sucking up this air???? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. How can I find out where this little hole of a menace?

It is not a whirlpool that is causing this. I have always had a whirlpool in front of my main return flare nozzle. That comes and goes by the minute. This is something different. Very minuscule bubbles constantly everywhere.

sounds like you have a pin hole somewhere in your return line

Have you got an airstone in the return line?

Agree with Terry, look for whirlpools around your sump pump or near where your bulkhead feeds that pump... I have my sump water level JUST ABOVE that level that will cause a whirlpool on the mag24's I run.

Is it possible there is a very small scuba diver in there...

I used to have a whirlpool in my sump area also, that is very intermittent, not constant yet again. I honestly do not think that this is a "whirlpool" problem, but a pinhole somewhere that kinda emerged.
But I checked the sump anyways, and found nothing out of the ordinary.

I still lean toward the small scuba diver...He might be on nitrox at that depth

Well, for some odd reason the microbubbles are no longer spewing out from the returns!!! I dont know where it was coming from. Hopefully it will be gone for good!

Bubble fairies. I had the same problem once. After placing a dead coral under my pillow one night the bubbles went away. Glad you had good success also.
