I've heard that all Butterfly fish are notorious coral eaters. I haven't seen one yet that said it was reef safe, but I have seen them in reefs before. I imagine that since you have a fish only also it might be worth a shot. They are beautiful fish.

The hotel's tank has one. I got it for that tank due to an aiptasia outbreak about 8 months ago. It finished off the aiptasias and havent bothered anything else. Also eats frozen food, and loves brine shrimp.

I WANT another badly.. I had one, but he was just here for a visit. It was a pain to get him to eat. Very shy initally, but never bothered anything while I had him. Fed him Bloodworms and Mysis nightly until I could get him to eat, he was eventually eating flakes.
One morning I found a clump of bones and congealed looking weird crap on the carpet anemone I had... and he was no where to be found. That sucked. I really liked that fish.
Oh.. because he's the same general shape as the Purple tang.. the purple tang bullied him initially.

Well, B&B have 2 that they received in on Tuesday and they look real healthy. They are $29.99, if either of them have eaten as of today, I'm going to get one.
I have had good success with the fish I have bought from B&B. I'm selective and make them feed them first before I buy. With the VIP discount the prices aren't too bad for most fish. Some of the fish are WAY over prices though (Flame Angel $59).

Note to self: Must hurry to B&B to beat Jeff there
Kidding of course.. I don't think I've ever bought a fish there.

Note to self: Schedule vandalism trip through West Mobile and Bay Minette.
Seriously, I don't think they have eaten yet. I tried to call this morning, but the guy I spoke to didn't see them get fed. He did say that there was still food on the bottom of the cubical though.

I'll go by there tonight and see if any MBRK members have "bought up" my fish

and see if I can get one to eat. They (B&B) probably fed them flake food, so I'll have some brine put in the tank.

It had to look like it was live for mine to eat it at first.. blowing in the current or something.
