OK, while reading up on the production of Polypropylene to find out what has caused my tank (and now Brandon's tank) to foam up, I found this article:
http://www.mindfully.org/Plastic/Ocean/ ... c92_ES.htm
I'm glad the EPA has run out of 'important' things to do.

Now they are studying the effect of the consumption of plastic pellets by fish, birds, and turtles.
Oh by the way... this will be the next diet fad! From the above mentioned article, I offer this quote: "
...Pellets ingested by seabirds are suspected to cause false feelings of satiation (i.e., the birds feel as though they have eaten) and reduce the feelings of hunger..."
I just can't leave well enough alone, so here is another quote: "
...This report represents the first comprehensive assembly of information regarding the presence and ecological effects of pellets in the aquatic environment, and is expected to become a basic reference for EPA and industry..."

LMAO
Has anyone gotten the impression I'm not an environmentalist? If you really want to save the world... sell your car and walk.

Couldn't be any worse than Olestra. Where some people report of "Anal Leakage"
Olestra sometimes causes underwear staining. That phenomenon may be caused most commonly by greasy, hard-to-wipe-off fecal matter, but occasionally also from anal leakage (leakage of liquid olestra through the anal sphincter).
Although underwear staining and anal leakage do not endanger consumers' physical health, those phenomena could cause psychological problems, including feelings of embarrassment and insecurity. Children and teenagers, especially, are likely to be disturbed about having dirty underwear, fearing embarrassment in front of friends and family. Snacking should be a pleasure undiluted with problems like dirty underwear.
Makes me want to run out and grab a bag of those chips.

OK, there's my word for the day!
