Ft Pickens is open till 10...
How do you get the fish to swim into the containers...How do you see at night(underwater flashlight?). What kind of net do you use? and what other fish can you find at Ft pickens?
I try to chase them up into it. I hold the container in the back with one hand and use the other hand to run them into it. Sometime I can just place it over them. Don't get me wrong I never said it was easy. I have never had anyluck with a net. The net I have has blue mess and the kind you need is the clear clear bait nets. At night a net would be handy. I have never used a net at night but the way fish act at night I would think it would work pretty good. I use scuba diving lights when I go at night. Becareful not to get caught taking stuff from fort pickens, it illegal. You have to have a florida fishing license to take any thing and in the park you not allowed to take anything except stuff that you are going to use for bait for fishing. It don't make sense to me but that is the rules. It's never stoped me before, I sneak the stuff out of the water if there are other divers and people around. I see all kind of weird fish there. Everytime I go I see something different. You never know what you will incounter. Word to the wise, the damsel are pretty but they are very aggressive and I don't recomend them for a reef tank.
Happy hunting.
RENTON: I chose not to choose life. I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got Heroin?
well if i catch some shrimp...i will say that they make good bait!!! I will bring my pole just in case!!!! I will even bring my tackle box for good measure!! I dont think I will go any further than a few feet out though...I will be by myself and all. I have a 20L gallon tank that I think I may be setting up as a small fish only..I could prolly but a couple of the more agressive fishies in there.
Sorry Snakeman, but maybe if I go to my father's and look like a sad puppy, or plead with him if need be, he will take several of us out some time on his 30 something foot long catamaran. I guess I better go work on the sad look awhile
