Bicolor Pseudochromis are even more aggressive than a royal gramma. I do not recommend Pseudochromids unless that is the only fish you want to put in that tank, otherwise they will kill anything you attempt to put in there.

I think I would like to stay away from most gobies. Really staying away from the kickstand perching ones that do not do much (Watchman).

If you find a dottyback that you like ask where it came from. I had 6 in a 55 gallon tank, two orchids, two springeri and two neons. They all got along good but I think it was either because they were aquacultured or they were very small when I got them. You could have two in a tank that small but they would have to be the only two fish so I think one Psuedochromis and and one small non-aggressive fish like gobies or some wrasses.

In my opinion i would stay away from any Pseudochromis unless its the only one in the tank. What about a Ocellaris or Percula clown? hopefully we will get in some hectors or reinfordi gobies this week so you can look at them, they sift sand (not much at all but they do a little) and eat algai (about as much as they sift sand).

I am decided on a perc, now for a companion....keep the ideas rolling. What would get along with a perc I would see on occasion. I will be there this afternoon at 5:30pm.

I would go with a Blackcap Basslet and possibly a 6 lined Wrasse. The six lined Wrasse may be a little aggressive though. You could also go with a pair of Cardinalfish, if it were me it would be a pair of Banggai Cardinalfish. Generally peaceful and a nice color pattern. They are not real active but after they become adjusted they will be out where you can see them.
