some type of light birch or pine maple cherry ??? i dunno i havent gone to look at anything but its gonna be just 1/4 inch thick or thinner i dunno ill just have to see
i kind of want the look like the tank at reefers small bow front tank (the one in the front right corner when you walked in - in there old place)
that kind of lightness
btw i think they are selling it for 1300 bucks - that was about a month ago and its only like 54 gallons!!!!

yep thats the one i really like the wood but i have the feeling that its real pricy i just wounder if there is a knock of of it

I am sure it is just the stuff they sell in lowes, the thin sheets of finishing plywood. Stuff is about 1/8 inch thick. I watched them put it on at Ocea before, i want to say they wet it and bend it to fit. It is cool to watch them put it on, then you just stain/varnish.

You dampen the surface of the wood to raise the fine hairs up so you can sand them to get a better finish. That wood in the picture looks like birch or cherry. I know its not pine. You can get some nice looking veneer at homedepot or lowes.

Could always use bender board and cover it with a nice veneer, thats what they did at ocea I think.
