I cleaned up "frankenstien" as I like to call it. The brown cords
go to their mates inside the end of the canopy, for a "quick
disconnect" style setup, and all the ballasts are wired into the
white 3 prong cord. I decided I didn't want control individually
over each light, I'll just turn these all on/off at once, and I'll have
the VHO's (640w worth) for dawn/dusk.
DON'T be afraid of DIY. This ballast setup (all four) cost me a
mere $170, versus, what,500+ for two dual PFO setups?
Granted, it doesn't look quite as nice, but then again, it's gonna
be hidden under a stand anyway.

Kind of a crappy pic, but here's a quickie.... I moved most of
the rock from the 100G over to the 240G, and here's what it looks
like. Also, you can see the pulsing xenia elongata in the refuge,
along with a ton of feather macro that's growing fast.
The rock's not quite up to where I want it to be, but I think it's
a fine start so far... gotta get some fish/corals in there!

hey,
where did you get those black tubing coming from the over going to the sump? how did you connect them also?

The black tubing is actually sump pump hose, it was like $5 for
24' worth... just get the right size hose barb, and slip them on.
Oh, and the fish from the 100G are still in there, we're moving
them today probably.

Any hardware store. I think I got those from Lowes. Anywhere
that has sump pumps.
Here's some updates: lighting, lighting, lighting, I think the
lighting is done. WOW it's bright.

...and here are some full tank shots... I'm leaving the lighting
on all day tomorrow, and see where the temp is... I have the fan
set to it's lowest speed. As you can tell, the two side doors in the
pic below need to be replaced, they are very warped.

OK, here's some new pics... we got the doors on, and the 240 is
pretty much setup. I fear that my sump is leaking, so might have
to replace it

At least I built the stand so that I can remove it!
I mounted the MH ballasts... I have already witnessed that the
inside of the stand is VERY warm and muggy.... what can I do about
that? It's like I need to run a dehumidifier.
