reactor going crazy
Hello,
I just recently built a single stage reactor and ph was stable at ph 8.16 and now today I came home and ph was at 7.89.Can some one give me some advice on keeping the ph stable.Help will be greatly appreciated

If you have a refugium run it on a reverse photoperiod from the display or light it all the time. You can route the discharge water from the reactor to the refugium so that the plants use the excess CO2 that is lowering your PH. One other way to reduce the amount of CO2 that is going into your tank is to put the discharge at the inlet of the skimmer. The skimmer will blow off the CO2 into the atmosphere. Ph of 7.89 is not too low though.
What is the ph of your reactor effluent?

What is you calcium and alk? Do you have a refugium? How many bubbles per minute? Whats the output rate of the reactor? What size tank? What kind of skimmer do you have?
Some skimmers come with a fitting for the calcium reactor discharge to prevent low ph but there are other ways to get rid of the excess co2. You could build a 2nd chamber or have the discharge effluent flow through a inline filter that is filled with ARM. This might use up some of the excess co2 after it leaves the reactor and before it reaches the tank.
Just a couple of ideas,
