Make sure you are running some fresh carbon.
Lobophytum "...are considered to be in the "most toxic" category, with more that 20 different terpenoid compounds isolated from various species. L. pauciflorum (devil's hand) is considered particularly toxic" (Borneman). i would think that running fresh carbon would be more important since you pissed it off real good by cutting it
