Cerith Snails

Post by Fishfood »

Does anyone have the small cerith snails reproducing in their tank. I use to have dozens of these in my old tank and when I moved and the tank crashed none of them made it. They were reproducing like crazy. If anyone has some I'd love to get about a dozen if possible.

I actually have some little rissoid snails, which are very similar, but much smaller. They are about the size of a grain of rice (at the largest--most are smaller). Once I see how the population does in the new surroundings of my 40g, I can give you some of those. I probably had a few thousand in my 75 before I tore it down.

good deal. I had probably about a dozen of those small cerith snails to start in my 135 and eventually had probably close to a couple hundred or more. They were everywhere.

They were breeding in my 55 when I switched over, but haven't seen many since.
