Starting over... somewhat. My 135 revamp thread

I have the best of luck with everything and its rolling right over into my aquarium hobby. Well Sue, remember that conversation we had about the cryptic six-line not jumping. I just got home from work and fed the tank and he was no where to be seen. I opened the center of the canopy and there he was hard as a rock on my center brace. Its time to rig something up that will prevent my fish from getting stuck up there. I'm going to attach some egg crate from the top of the canopy to each side of the center brace. That way if anything else should jump it will hopefully just bounce back into the water.
If you ever think of ordering one Sue I'll go in with you and get one. That had to be the coolest fish in the tank and it had great colors.

I was thinking Cyphastrea from the pics. That's a nice one. I sure hate to hear about the sixline, what a cool fish. The tank looks real good, nice to see them all fresh and new, isn't it? The corals look pretty happy.
So is Dave back? I've been wanting to go by there, but wanted to wait till he got back.

Still seems to be swimming around all day looking constantly for a snack. So far I haven't found anything, other than red gracillia and halameda, that she won't eat. Frozen, flake, pellet, nori, you name it and she'll eat it.
Also seems that the plant tank has done it's job in reducing nutrients to a level that the HA is fast becoming a thing of the past. You're not supposed to be able to grow red gracillia in a low flow environment but mine doesn't seem to know the rules. It's quadruppled in amount even after I gave away as much as my original amount.
My next project will be to attempt to get rid of cyanobacteria. It's not increasing in quantity but it's not declining either. I've been so busy filling in for the base chiropractor for the past two weeks that I really haven't had the time to devote to my tanks that I'd like to. Hoping that I'll be able to change that next week when I'm back in my own practice.

Doc

When I saw that Cyphastrea I thought of you Sue. There is a knob sticking out and I said to myself that I bet you would like a piece of that. I can get you one then. It should break off just fine. That baby glows.sb1227 wrote:I was thinking Cyphastrea from the pics. That's a nice one. I sure hate to hear about the sixline, what a cool fish. Dave is back. He is ready to sell off everything and move over to the Philippines or where ever it is he goes. There isn't much in at his place right now. I'm guessing he will do an order next weekend or sometime soon.
