I use to have serious problems with cynao, but when I cut back on feeding it went away. I have used Oceanic for almost a year now. I don't think it was the problem.
If I cut back any more on my feeding my fish will die. The ony way I can get rid of the stuff is to use Chemi-Clean by Boyd

My Ro/Di reading is 0 and all my water paramiters are normal

Do you have any areas that waterflow is slow to nel? I noticed when I had it that it was always where I had minimal waterflow.

There are areas that are less turbulant than others, that might have something to do with it

I've noticed less cyano right after water changes (with Oceanic I had a lot within a day after a change) and better polyp extension. I haven't been using it 50/50 yet because I just got a bag yesterday to mix and I had already used all that I had left. I may gradually go back to IO, it worked for years and after changing to Oceanic I have been having problems and virtually no growth.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

What is your turnover rate including any powerheads and closed loops?
