I never would have guessed it . That's pretty cool. How fast to those things go? one of my teachers in vocational school raced carts. His son said they would go more than 60 mph.
It all depends on the size of the track as to how you can gear it. I would say anywhere from 40 mph on smaller tracks to 80-85 mph on the larger tracks. What did you study in vocational school?
Dont like auto mechanics? I went to southwest for refrigeration but all they did was residential so I had to learn alot of what I do now on the job. And with ammonia there isnt a lot of room for error.
I went to Southwest too. I think I would have done better (i.e. made more $ in the long run) with something else. With 12 years experience it's now too hard to change now.
I wonder about that at times myself. But I did get to travel the southeast doing refrigeration work. Although some of the places really werent worth going to.
Karts on dirt?? I was under the stupid assumption that Karts were used for autocrossing... I always wanted to get on a good autocrossing track with a kart, looks fun! you running 125cc I assume?
There isnt much asphalt racing around this area. Around here dirt is for racing and asphalt is for getting there. And no not 125cc, we run 5hp briggs. They do race 2-strokes but around here it is all 4 cycles.
Yeah I would like to try those myself. But mostly shifter racing is out west. Everything we race is single speed and then track size and engine class determines how fast you go.
