RO filter thingamajig $10

Post by Brandon »

I think somewhere on this filter it says reverse osmosis... but It doesn't look like a typical ro filter to me, but you could easily add a ro membrane filter to the top, and save some money. I'm just not real clear on what the little filter is for, because it doesn't look like a typical ro. Just bought it at a flea market for $10, because I figured someone that was starting out could use it. Oh.. it's made by Rain Soft. I can look at it closer or take more pictures if need be...

It wasn't but $10, I figured someone could add the membrane, and have a good filter.. I don't need it, already have a 6-stage system for drinking water and ro/di.

Looks very well made... It looks like it fit regular filter cartridges...and fittings....just add a RO membrane and new filters you would be good to go...

I used to have one very similar to this. The little canister on mine was the RO and was mounted on top. It was only like a 5-10 gal a day, but you could easily add a better RO unit and bypass the little one if you chose.

Think I paid like $150 for the old one at Sams Club and it had the holding tank and sink faucet and all.
