Can we get a list of who's bringing what? And who's coming?

That might help us all out.....

Impose

Post by coralfreak »

Don't want to impose, not sure if this is an invitation only meeting, but it sounds like I could benifit from this. :?:
If its ok, what should I bring, and can a friend of mine from Mobile come also. He has a 120g tank I think. I would need him to do the driving, I am still lost when it comes to anything between here and p'cola.

Open meeting...we love newbes.....should be some frags to give ... trade ... and sell.....Real relaxed group...more like a party than meeting....we do require formal wear like a tux for your first meeting and if you could wear a funny little hat also it will help us to id you.

Welcome to the sire Coralfreak. There are a few others in Gulfport that you may be able to carpool with if they come.

Does your friend know about this club/site?

Good one Terry but you should have included the one about the newbies drinking fresh skimmate (oh were we keeping that one a secret until they got there).
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

Meeting

Post by coralfreak »

I'm going to drive to Mobile catch a ride from there. Looking forward to it.

My friend from Mobile said he has read throught these posts, just never joined. He's technologically challenged as he put it.

What should I bring to the meeting - besides my little hat and Tux - :?:

Food is always accepted or drinks, plates, forks, etc.

The meetings are a fun time for all of us. We get to talk about our tanks, see what everyone else is doing with theirs and get ideas. Swap, buy and give out frags/fish whatever...Great opportunity to learn stuff you may not have already known, meet some wonderful people, chow down on delicious food, etc. Like Terry said, it's more of a party.

You can bring anyone you want, so long as they don't mind talking about corals/fish/reef tanks. :D

People typically bring stuff to snack on, drink, eat off of/with, chips, cokes/beer/wine, plates, forks, spoons, snack type stuff....

I believe I'll be bringing my famous smoked salmon dip and crackers.

Sure, you can ride with us Jason. Where's Ryan going to be?

Ryan says: Unfortunatly I will have to miss the meeting. I have a taekwondo tournament party thing that I have to go to. I tried to get out of it but then they reminded me that I am in charge of it.
