Is that a trailer? :o When we went to 29 Palms 2 summers ago we saw little houses like that out in the desert on the way back from Vegas. They have nothing around them and no signs of life between each house which was about 10 miles apart the whole way. We just figured, ya know...crystal meth labs o...

I really like your tank. About the coralline, try to use a toothbrush and brush the coralline u do have and it will spread spores all over. Thats what I did and it works great. :)

The water has really been clear lately. Some divers were at the canal last weekend saying they were looking around for stuff to put in their tanks. I'd like to glue a bunch of barnacles and mussels on the glass of a tank like it looks on the concrete canal wall.

All kinds of green and some kind of bushy purple plantlike algae. Snails, hermit crabs, u name it. I even saw some blennies shoot out at me when I tou...

Gulf tank anyone?

Has anyone here ever successfully kept a tank with rock and corals exclusively from the gulf? I went to gulf shores last weekend to the little canal pass on the westside of gulf shores and went snorkeling just for the hell of it and saw some beautiful anemones. Some of these anemones were prettier t...

Not long, that's the thing. Maybe 3 months, but my coraline always grows all over where I don't want it to, and never where I do want it. And there's snail eggs all on the magfloat too.

I love small tanks, kevin. I've got a 29 myself and it's just so easy to do water changes on. I bet u enjoy the ease of a smaller tank. Same thrill, less hastle...that's the way I look at it.

When I was in Iraq last year we slept in an old abandoned Iraqi agricultural school and those camel spiders crawled on us at night all the time, believe it or not, but never bit us. They are called Camel spiders because what they do is crawl up a camels leg and onto his stomach and inject a painless...

Well, I finally ran out of IO, so I bought the 200G bucket of Oceanic salt and man is this stuff outstanding! It took about 5 seconds for my whole 5G bucket full of water to disolve and it was so clear once it did. So that's all she wrote for me. I'm an Oceanic man from here on out!

Is all this steroidal xenia growth from having metal halides, or is it from flouresents or what? I don't see how ya'll get to the point where ya'll are complaining about it all. I kinda liked it and I have trouble getting corals to grow in my tank period! Let me know some info on how you all are suc...
