I have 1 piece that I got from a club member. I put it on the very bottom of the tank where there is moderate flow. It seems to be enjoying there.

5500 Kelvin Clam
Believe it or not, this clam was solid purple to the appearance under artificial lighting. In this photo, I have my hand shading the light from the clam (which takes away from it). Sorry again for the poor photography.

With my last tank, I tried to do a 10% each week. My rule was to change at least 25% a month. However 4 10%ers was easier than 1 25%er. If I had a 50-75 gal tank, I would do 5 gallons weekly just for the ease of using a handy 5 gallon bucket. As stated above, you do get alot of trace elements from t...

I used a razor for 8 years on my 190 and it scratched it up in a few spots. I have been lucky enough with the new tank that I have not had to clean the glass yet (just run the magnet over it about every 3 weeks or so). My opinion is the razor will scratch the glass if held impropperly or is the blad...

I have to disagree with the above post (not to tick off the administrator). The most agrivating feeling I have had is when my tank was full of corals and I could not add any additional stock. I was just looking today and was wishing I had gone bigger with my tank. I havn't talked to many reefers who...

I had a similar situation recently. I have been very busy building the new house and traveling for work that I began my slacking. Almost the same thing happened with all of my corals. All my levels were fine. For the life of me, I had no clue what was wrong. Once I converted over to the new tank, I ...

Looking for a kitten
I am hoping to find a kitten for sale or free before Christmas. My wife has called several numbers in the paper with no luck. If any of you know someone with young kittens available, let me know. The kitten needs to be very young as I am introducing it to a househole with a dog. I hear the younger, ...

Cat...Kitten
We are currently in the process of moving into a new house. My wife promised my little girl that she could get a cat when we move to the new house (this was about 8 months ago). My little girl has not forgot. The problem is, I have a 90-100lb rott. She seems not to like cats too much. Is it easier t...
