Re: What the heck????
i was wondering if it was an egg mass of some sort just because of how it seemed too well together to be just slime. it looks like it was there on purpose. but nothing has happened yet. i do have snails too.

Re: frustrated
thanks for the input. what would be the best way to deal with the nutrient problem, other than larger water changes? or will that be enough? i'm only feeding once a day right now.

i'm having a problem with every new fish i get dying within 2 days to a week. and each time, my water levels are tested and i'm told "your water looks perfect"... so why does every single fish i buy die? (i will admit they are all from the same lfs, b&b, except for the last). i am accl...

Re: algae taking over
Nitrates came back fine at the last testing, but i haven't used any granular ferric oxide, fosban or anything like that. i did get a semi-high silcates reading at one point. will that have the same effect?

for the last year or so, green hair algae has been a problem in my tank. i've tried everything i know to do (lowered light time, more water changes, checked phosphates, added more hermits, even tried a sea hare. it's just taking over everything now. i try removing it manually by removing rocks and p...

stuff to trade
I have items I was going to list on craigslist for sale, but thought I would try here first. I have a nice computer desk and a brand new rod and reel set that I bought recently from BassPro. Rather than selling them, I'd be interested in trading for some frags or livestock. I was going to ask $25 ea...

Can anyone tell me what type of leather this is? I got it about a month ago and I don't know the name.
Thanks.

Re: Looking for a seahare
I'll check on that too. I've had emerald crabs in the past and they wouldn't mess with it. i dont have a home filtration system because the person i rent from doesn't want any modifications made so i'm getting my filtered water from b&b, but sometimes i dont have the money or i forget to fill up...
