Re: Odyssea 48" 608W Metal Halide System Extendable Series
If you're asking whether you should buy an odyssea metal halide set up my opinion is a resounding no. I have plenty of experience with these systems and in my opinion it isn't worth the gamble. I use odyssea bulbs with no problems, but not their halide systems.

letting go of a Breeding set up
I have a breeding set-up that has an 80 gallon bio ball sump and two tiers of cubes. All it needs is lighting and power heads. The system is meant to be stacked and is acrylic.

Re: Wow, B&B horror show
I am grateful for both stores. I am even eyeing the Blue Jaw trigger at B and B and would buy it if it would not kill my clam. What do you think? It's a great trigger. The males look awesome and they are likely the most reef safe trigger on the market (if such a thing exists) but I wouldn't do it. ...

I just had one myself and tossed 8 mythrax crabs in. After two weeks I didn't notice any difference (granted my tank is 75 with 125lbs of rock) but I also had some filamintatious green algae. I tossed a fox face in and in less than a week not only was the hair algae gone, but the bubble as well.

Hey Crust, we've been getting some pretty neat stuff in. Our clams have had a VERY low mortality rate, in fact I can only remember one dying. Good colors, good prices, good quality.

Grow a sense of humor... IMHO. I would have had you meant it to be humorous to start with. Either that or I have an utter lack of appreciation for your sense of humor. It's called a dry, or sarcastic sense of humor. It does indeed fly over the head of certain intellects. I'll forgive you this once,...

We also don't have access to the books, magazines, forum posts, etc. while we're staring at a fish in an acrylic box, as we stand in a fish store. That's why it's important for LFS owners/workers to be atleast some-what knowledgeable to the proper care and requirements for specific species of fish,...

They still make theses... :?: "these" means more than one, so it doesn't require a plural. And yes, they do make plenty of annoying emoticons. I do believe that was a simple typo, not an intentional grammatical inclusion. This is somewhat rude and uncalled for, IMHO. Grow a sense of humor...

Yes, there are some bad books but they typically are easily recognized as such and don't go far. There is far more faulty info posted on the interwebs by so-called experts.Amphiprion wrote:OMG, I had to google that one.book
But on a more serious note, there are a lot of bad books available, too.

Re: Wow, B&B horror show
I completely agree with James. I work in the salt department at B&B. I tell customers that if you ask 10 people the same question, you're likely to get as many different answers. That doesn't mean those answers are going to be wrong, it just means everyone has an opinion. Verse yourself with a g...
