Ok thx, i' have plenty of computer fans ( the 3 in ones ) so i'm going to put 2 over the lights and get a little bit bigger fan to go over the sump thx for the help guys, i'll let ya know how it works out hehe. Thx for the offer of that fan but i'll pass i have a few laying around here.

Here are the pics as promised Just the antic lights are on atm.

All my pumps are underwater, no canopy, i am going to add a second fan to the lights though. the light are hung about 6" over the tank. I'll post some pics and soon as i get my camera hooked up to my laptop

I'm running only 1/2 the lights and for shorter periods of time. it's running about 84F atm but i can get it down to around 80 at night. i have also started keeping it cooler in the house but it seems to have little effect.

Does anyone know of a easy and accurate way to cool a tank with out laying down $500+ for a chiller? I have a 110 gal tall with 8 t5 lights but only 4 of them are running atm cause of the heat. There is a sump as well with a submersiable pump.

Ihad one in my reef tank before the fire destroyed it and it and my yellow tang got along fine. I never had any problems with it. When i get my new tank set up i plan on getting another one they tend to have great personalities

Is pretty wild. When I was doing underwater weilding one of our biggest fears was pipes. Even the one way valve on the dive helmet could kill you if the air line broke and the valve did not work right. I heard some where that the guns the PD's use lose alot of voltage through the 2 cables. I still don't want to try one hehe but I think the little hand helds give alot more of a jolt.
