Just like to share some photos I just remembered I had on my camera taken a while back. I setup a pond for my mother about 5 years ago and finally took some shots. There are more pictures in my album if anyone want to see more of this.

Huge, I do not remember what I thought the gallon were. I remember it started really small, that is why it is kidney shaped. A little while after digging it, she liked it so much she requested that I make it bigger, I ended up splicing the two ponds together with liner tape.

It is at least 25' across one end. I dug it with a shovel.

That had to hurt. It really is nice, does she have trouble with big birds and those Koi?

I took a look at the pics in your gallery, it must have taken forever to do that. The landscaping is fabulous. I'm amazed by people who can make things look so good and organized. I just don't have that landscape/aquascape talent.

Me either, Mom does though. I just dug it and setup the plumbing and skimmers.

That looks fantastic! I wish I could landscape/aquascape like that. Right now, that is the only thing lacking in my planted tank--sense and direction.
I could never make my tank look as good as some, let alone a pond. I guess it is one of those things to work on.

All is good until she tells me, I sure am losing a lot of water.....

Thinking of having to re-seam between the two ponds is not something I ever want to have to do. Luckily in the past it is normally just wind or such blowing water out of the waterfall.

You know.....your mom could set up a planted tank aquascaping business. :D For poor people like me and Andrew who lack the artistic talent.... :P

My Mother has never been much for predetermined planting, unlike me. I do things in a logical manner, things are more structured when I do a flower bed or a pond.

Although I did not spend as much time with the plants, etc with my pond. Here is a picture of mine when it was going, not quite as large or majestic.

Still looks really good to me! I did a small 'whiskey barrel' pond a while back with disastrous results. Not entirely sure what happened, but the instability of the tiny thing may have had a lot to do with it.

Weird, these pictures only work for me 50% of the time. Once my browser went back to the thread page after posting, it was just url stuff and no pics.

Weird, maybe clear your cache and cookies. I have turned on HTML to make the G2Image stuff work, I may leave it on, it depends.

Don't feel bad I live in the same house with him and my pictures don't work either.
