I'm contemplating making a Reef Cleaners order, and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in going in on this order to save on shipping costs. It'll be Express Mail, which is $28, so divided by however many people we get. If I get anyone interested, I'll talk with John @ RC and see if he can do it so that we pay him directly and split the costs.
I travel to Mobile every day of the week in the evenings for class @ USA, so I'd have no problems delivering it before or after class, at the school. Class is usually from 4-7pm-ish.
And if anyone wants to order a large bulk lot from him a split it with someone else, I can split it for you guys whenever you pick it up.

Re: Reef Cleaners Order
I'm tempted, but my real estate has grown thin. The seagrass is taking up about 90% of the sand bed, so I am extremely limited in terms of space. I saw that John had some Rhipocephalus phoenix, which is what I'd really like to have, but the Penicillus I had did miserably for whatever reason or another, despite good overall conditions. I don't think it could compete well with the already established seagrass. I wouldn't expect much better with the Rhipocephalus, though.

After sleeping on it, I think I'll opt out. I don't really have the room for any at the moment.

Re: Reef Cleaners Order
No worries. If I don't get anyone to go-in with me, I'll just scrap the order. I'm not going to spend $50 for a Sea Hare and some other small things..

Re: Reef Cleaners Order
Beware......idiot questions follow....
So priority mail isn't fast enough?
Ball park....how much where you looking to spend? Or to put it another way, how much do others need to spend to make it work?
I am very interested. I am disappointed with the limited greens you can get locally or at least what I have found. One draw back would be picking them up. I live in Mississippi and would probably have to work something where my order was just set in your sump till the weekend. I am not looking at inverts....just algae plants.
Anyone have any suggestions of local fs I might try for the algae?

Well, priority mail isn't fast enough for what I would like to order, a sea hare. There'd be no minimum, you'd just split shipping with me, which would be $14 per person.Shelly wrote:Beware......idiot questions follow....

If you're just looking for algaes, definitely make a separate order. Most algae John has is fine with Prority shipping, which is like $9 IIRC and it would come to your house directly. If you wanted to go in on this order, Express mail would be $14 for you, plus the hassle of coming to get it. So to save the headache and a little cash, I'd recommend a separate order.

Re: Reef Cleaners Order
Found a Sea Hare locally, which means I will not be ordering any time soon from them, so this is going to be canceled.
