Anenome proof a tank

Postby snoopdog on Thu Apr 03, 2003 10:45 am

Can my 75 run off just he main pump ? I am having a roaming anemone problem, my ritteri creeps several feet an hour into powerheads, even with the screens on he has lost a tentacle or two. Currenty have a Gen-X main pump.

I am sure you can. I think that if you can get around 10x turnover in your tank would be fine. SPS are the only reason you might need high turnover. What is your Mak 4 flowing at 4 foor head? You might leave one powerhead blowing behind your rocks to make sure that there are no stagnant areas.
