I just got done re reading this thread. My suggestion would be to use your Mak 4 for your return pump. It should work beautifully. You could use my Hammerhead for the CL or look for a Barracuda. I think a Dart will be too small. I'm using a Mak 4 for the return on my 155 Bowfront (it would be a 180 ...

They are good pumps and relatively quiet. That's why I think that the one I have on my skimmer may be starting to go. As far as flow is concerned, I just think that a Mak 4 may be a bit underpowered for a CL on a 180. I think it would be dynamite for a CL on a 75. One way to be sure is to do a test ...

I think that you'll be disappointed with it's performance. I'm using one for my skimmer and another for my return pump on my 155 bowfront. Works fine for both those tasks but I'm afraid you'll find it underpowered for a closed loop. I would consider $125 and your Mak 4 if you decide you want to move...
