the frame was easy, simple measurements, drilling, and assembly with screws. The solder of the LED's was a little tricky but eventually became easy. You just have to make sure to tin your wires and pre tin your LEDs. As for wiring, rapidled has instructions on their website. this kit would work just...

Yup, my corals are doing great and just about every DIY LED build utilizes royal blues and cool whites. LED's utilize a combination of color temperatures and wavelengths to give it a nice spectrum.

the cool whites range from 5000-8300 k depending on how bright you have them.

I decided to upgrade from the t5's to LED's simply to save in the long run with less power consumption and long life span of the lights themselves. par 5 inches below the tank is mid 600's, tank half way down is low 400s and on bottom level is 200s, 100 in corners but who put corals in corners? I may add 12 more blues to give it a little more color. but otherwise, im impressed and enjoy them very much. powerbill went down an average of $20 too ;D

75g, went with 24x royal blue cree xp-e and 24x cool whites cree xp-g leds with 4 dimmable drivers. 2x 5.9x16" heat sinks and 80 degree optics

crap, was hoping it was the same dimensions of a 75g (based on length and width) so i could use my current stand and canopy. Yours is a little wider than mine. Would have wanted it if it would have fit my stand/canopy :[
