I have a sig sauer 40 cal. Its an awesome gun. Plenty of stopping power and if the bullet doesn't hit them, the flame leaping out of the barrel will scare them off. Ammo isn't cheap though. I paid around $550 for it new, with an extra handle and carrying case. Its the kind the fbi and dea ...

I use both epoxy and superglue.

Make a small ball with the epoxy and then dab some glue on the epoxy. Attach coral. Now dab glue on the epoxy where it will attach to rock and voila, good seal.

Hey there. I cultured phyto and rotifers/baby brine when I was raising baby bangaii's. If you have a southern facing window that really rocks for getting denser cultures. In the long run, I didn't have the ability to make a sterile enough environment for creating the culture without taking over the ...

You can't dim the icecap without a dimmer that costs a ton. Its not worth the cash as only one or 2 people make them and they are expensive.

As far as the wiring, do you have a wiring harness?

Salifert makes a great product called flatworm exit. I keep it handy and medicate all incoming corals and rock with it. The medication is very reef safe, even if overdosed. The danger lies with the flatworm mass death as the body juices are toxic. Have carbon ready to go and read the instructions. W...

Best investment I ever made was the PVC tool that cuts, not saws, the pipe. Man, that thing is so freaking slick, its well worth the investment. Cuts a perfectly straight edge, no burrs and snip snip snip, you get the length of pipe you want. Too long? snip snip, shorten up lickety split. I paid lik...

I just bought a euro reef es2 with sedra 3500 pump from Aquarium Fantasies for $220.

Haven't hooked it up yet but am dying to. From everything I have heard, they are pretty nice.

Do you own an LFS reeferpuffer? If so, I would like to place an order. Ahem: 4 peppermints, about 90 pounds of live rock, about 120 pounds of dead aragamax and 10 pounds of detritovore encrusted sand, chaetomorpha algae, a good dimmer for my icecap 660. Possibles: calcium reactor, aquacontroller + p...

Hi, nice setup. One thing that jumped up at me (having learned a very hard way) is sand jamming your impeller. I am wondering what measures you have (besides not stirring up the sand occasionally, which is nigh impossible for me) to prevent small micron sand from entering the pump while not filterin...
