Re: Online ordering
I've ordered from BlueZoo on multiple occasions and have been 100% satisfied, as well as LiveAquaria. I wouldn't hesitate to order from either, though you get free shipping with BZ if you're over $140. BlueZoo has DOA and a 7-Day guarantee, whereas LiveAquaria is DOA and 14-Day Guarantees. What in p...

Re: Crosshatch Female
Just wanted to make it clear that I am still on the fence if I'd like to part with her or not. I guess this thread is more of a feeler than anything else.

Crosshatch Female
Contemplating selling my female Xhatch trigger. She's around 8" and I've had her for a few months. I'm just thinking I might want to go a different direction in stocking. She needs a big home, 240G or larger. I know most here probably don't have that size, though. If you're seriously interested...

Re: Costs for Reef are too high.
That's why I don't keep an SPS filled reef. Just too expensive. Aside from the minor hair algae in our Reef tank due to a garbage skimmer and high Bioload, I haven't done a WC in two months, dosed anything other than Iodine for the Gorgs, and have super old MH bulbs. Yet, the corals (Monti Caps, LPS...

Re: Trying Something New
I've always had better success with growing Zoas/Palys whenI had an appropriate (not overpowered) skimmer on the tank and a modest bioload, though lighting seemed to be a bigger key, as they grew much faster in high lighting.

Re: Nutramar Ova
I know Saigon Market on Cottage Hill past Demetropolis had jellyfish last I checked. They have a refrigerated section that had some urchin roe, too. It's been a while since I've been by, though. Thanks. Might have to venture by tomorrow or later this week to see if I can find some jelly. Went by Jo...

Re: Nutramar Ova
I'm working with a butterfly many consider impossible and have heard good things about Nutramar Ova and touchy butterflies, so I figured I'd give them a try if I can find any local.. I've got a shipment of blackworms coming as a back-up. Though I wish I could find a good Asian/Seafood market that ca...

Nutramar Ova
Unlikely chance, but does anyone know if any stores in Mobile or Pensacola carry Nutramar Ova? Or know of an Asian/Seafood market that sells Roe?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: New Seagrass/Anemone build
Who knows. I may still go with Rhipocephalus in the future. I don't know how well the Penicillus is going to do and I don't necessarily have to keep it even if it does do well. Right now, the possibilities for this tank are pretty wide open, which I'm enjoying thus far. Just reread my post, seemed ...

Re: New Seagrass/Anemone build
I think I would have broke down and waited for Rhipocephalus, but either species is definitely very cool, especially when they start branching off and create a forest-like effect. For anyone not familiar with Rhipocephalus, it's commonly called "Pinecone algae" and looks exactly like it so...

Re: Kaneohe Bay, Oahu reefs??
Hawaii is even more illegal to collect than Florida. No corals at all are allowed to be collected even softies, mushrooms, etc.
Fish, Inverts & Algae is your limited extent in Hawaii.

Its ok Andrew I can take it. Unfortionatly I know I can't spell and knew that would be a problem since middle school when I forged my parents signature for an english report card... I got a D and they still found out because I have sloppy lefthanded hand writing. I'm sure you could find thousands o...

Re: Wow, B&B horror show
I agree, while I don't go to Progressive very often (maybe once every 2 months), they've never been pushy. But neither has B&B. Progressive seems to have better pricing on fish (pretty much the only thing I go to look at), than B&B. Pensacola is definitely hella expensive for fish. But then ...

Re: New Seagrass/Anemone build
Tank should look great once it fills in a matures a bit.
How about a pic with your new seagrasses.
